pikasafire is running her own unofficial Nanowrimo this month, 50k between the 16th of this month to the 16th of next.

I considered signing but the only story I have at the moment that could even approach 50k already has a chunk written, but then I read that 50k could be spread out over multiple stories, which would work nicely for me. I've the auction story to finish, and an almost complete fill from the killjoys kink meme that could easily be made into a h/c fill. Plus, looking through my gdocs last week I came across the 1.6k of hooker fic I abandoned when I went in another direction for my BBB, so I guess I could use that somehow. Not continue as hookers though, there has to be a limit of how many times I write those. Plus the co-write to start if we get sorted that fast.

I don't know. I want to finish those wips before holiday fic season, but 50k is a lot of words for one month. But at the same time, it's still under 2k a day and that's doable, plus, low stress challenge, no one is going to drum me from fandom if I fail. Welcome to my brain people, the one that thinks these things over even though anyone that actually knows me knows for a fact I'll have signed by the end of the day.

We're off to nanna's soon and then the cinema this afternoon. Which suggests I should actually get dressed. Maybe in ten minutes or so.

That's happened to me before, comments going missing. It's frustrating because I never know if the original one will turn up or not.

Saying that. I've never joined Nano for the reason you say, due to the time of year. Plus, it seems very official in some ways, while this is something that's low key. Hopefully anyway.

Your story idea sounds amazing, I say give it a go, there'll be no shame if you don't get it done, and people will be cheering you on.

Yeah, Nano can feel rather impersonal as well, so maybe this is better. And of course, in Bandom I can say things like Spencer is an owl and Gabe really is a cobra and people don't back away slowly. *g*
