As everyone no doubt knows by now My Chem dressed up in costumes for their last show.
I was gathering for MWD anyway and haven't posted anything fannish for a while, so
On a quick glance the picture below looks like Gerard is wearing suspenders and short skirt. I like this.
Also, feel free to entertain me with theories of how the costumes/costume buying came about. On twitter we've been discussing costume buying trips complete with arguments about who gets to wear the mask and how the dog costume was related to Pete somehow, and is stored in Mikey's costume closet. Of course.

I'm thinking that Frank is all curled up around Mikeyway one night while enjoying the afterglow. He feels Mikeyway getting sleepy so, he jumps on the opportunity to casually drop that he's thinking of doing a bit of dress-up one of these nights.
You bet THAT woke Mikeyway right up. They get so worked up about the different costumes they could do (Mikeyway "suggests" Frank dons a 'hot cop' costume . . . Frank tilts his head at that and mumbles something about thinking about it as long as he doesn't have to wear short-shorts) that eventually they end up in round two after Frank finds the bottle of lube that was wedged in between the bunk cushion and the wall.
Sometime after soundcheck, Gerard corners Frank (in this 'verse, Frank's with BOTH Ways though there's no Bro-Bro shenanigans. Sorry.) and tells him that he's TOTES on board with the idea of costumes.
So, Frank kinda bitches about the freaking Way bros' apparent telepathic link or something before making it VERY CLEAR that he's NOT going to wear any costumes that involve heavy makeup.
Gerard pouts for a few beats before nodding his agreement.
And then, they go make out some more.
Neither Ray nor Dewees are hard to convince into the costume thing. Ray's idea of 'dressing up' involves shorts which gets Frank guffawing so hard his beer snorts out of his nose.
Later that night, while watching Gerard sketch in his bunk, Frank tells him that he thinks Dewees might be a seekrit!furry because of the costume he wants to put on.
Gerard shrugs and goes back to drawing a zombie pirate.
(Um, and, um, that's my theory? \o?)

Also, the end part with Gerard so unconcerned about James being a furry made me laugh so much.

Then James is all UGGGGH and also WHY IS THIS ON TOUR WITH YOU? and lastly DOESN'T THAT BOTHER ALICIA? But Mikey is like "Alicia doesn't care, and surely you've heard of webcams."
And Gerard is LALALANOTLISTENING and Frank is laughing because Mikey might have gotten cool Jason, but at least he didn't wear the costume with the Pete!spunk.

Imagine them all clustered around the costumes, discussing what to wear. But what happened to Frank's wig, that's what I want to know. Was it used to clean the dog costume inside? Has it been modified to be a pubic wig, the world needs to know!

It gets everywhere, green strands in Ray's cereal, long orange curls in Gerard's coffee -- he fishes that out and flings it to one side, just missing Frank's head -- itchy short spikes of hair that work their way into James' clothes.
Meanwhile Mikey sits with the wigs on a dummy head, snipping away in total concentration.

When Mikey presents an asymmetrical cut to them that looks like the dummy had a run in with a very angry bear, Frank is about to say something stupid, so Ray kicks his leg under the table and smiles at Mikey, complimenting the cut because it is so "unique".
Mikey blinks at Ray before he shrugs and starts working on the next wig.
