romanticalgirl for the card and photo cards. They really are gorgeous and I was thrilled when I saw them. Also thank you to rikes for the card and very lovely penguin earrings. I love them a lot and am wearing them right now.
Yesterday went fine in the end. There was a little bit of confusion over the bloods as I had a list of tests to have one day and then a second fasting test to have on a day two list. The lady taking the bloods thought that meant I could go back at any time and suggested after Christmas. The lady at reception didn't agree and said it needed to be today, then suggested a 2:30 appointment, which would have been fine if it wasn't for the fasting part. So I was shoved in first thing before clinics officially started.
The appointment at the hospital went okay, too. More uncomfortable than painful, and really, I worried myself over nothing.
On the night we went out to eat with my SiL and her partner. She'd won a competition for a meal for four up to £80 at a new Indian restaurant that had opened. It was such a nice place, small and in a basement so we'd have never have gone there without this win. The food was delicious and the staff very attentive, and really it was just a fun filled and good night. Though by the time we got home I was wiped. I couldn't wait to get into bed.
And man, the doctor has just phoned to say she'd been looking at the blood test results and the thyroid one was a bit off. She asked if I'd been checked before or had family history, and nope for both. She said to go back for a retest in 6 weeks, so can't be that concerned. But still, I don't like the doctors phoning me like that.
But back to what I was talking about. Also yesterday I got all but two parcels posted. So, cards and other parcels are winging their way around the world right now. Maybe this is the year they really will get there on time.
