I've just signed for [livejournal.com profile] mini_wrimo. I haven't written a thing since the holiday challenges last year, so it's a bit daunting. But, I do love mini wrimo. It's a low-pressure challenge which suits me perfectly. Though I have no idea what I'm actually going to write. If there are no holiday challenges on the go I may have to poke at my Musketeers Space AU that's been ongoing for years now. The comm is taking new sign-ups until November 8th, so if you need a kick up the ass to get writing again, too. Maybe consider the challenge.

It's been a long day. We had to take our car in for more repairs today. These were old ones that were scheduled before the shunt, but got pushed back when the more serious damage happened. So, we got Jaffa back last week, and today she was back in getting new window wipers, exhaust and brake pads. We dropped her off at 8:30 and grabbed a taxi into town where we had a mooch for most of the morning. After picking her up we visited my MiL because she's been ill lately. She phoned our house phone and left a message early morning two days ago, which freaked me out a bit as no one uses the landline now and waking up to hearing the answer phone beep always makes me think of bad things.

Once we got home I carved the quickest and most basic pumpkin ever, have a bowl of sweets ready and am now sitting to see if anyone turns up. We usually get a few little groups of neighbourhood kids, and if not, well, James will be eating chocolate for a while. Plus, pumpkin soup will be getting made tomorrow which is of the good.

It was shoulder group yesterday. We get a week off next week as the main physio is going on a course. Just as I was leaving he said he thought I was ready for more intense mat work next time, and I mean, what? Intense mat work. He's only supposed to be helping my shoulder. I do still like the class, though. Even with potential intense mat work.

Finally, in the last week I've read all the [community profile] no_tags stories for this round. There were only a few, but I enjoyed every one.

I think I signed up for miniwrimo as well. In any case, I'm doing a version of nanowrimo alongside a few folks from Discord. My goal is less ambitious than 50k but I'm hopeful. Even set up my Pacemaker so I know how many words I gotta write per day. [Crossing fingers emoji]

BTW, I saw this post roll on my reading list. It's deffo relevant to your interests. ;)

ETA: I found this other fic while scrolling this author's AO3. They write Stucky, Stony, Clint/Coulson and this one:

Awww, thank you. I have written a couple of things this year. Tho it hasn't been until lately that I've gotten my resolve!face to get at least two more stories done.

I am tackling 2 things:
- a Steve/Thor [redacted] first draft for MCU Kink Big Bang. It's not due until January but I rather work on that now

- a Sam/[Redacted] fic for one of the MCU big bangs. This one is less of an urgent thing but it's one that I've been thinking of for, like, two years?

Do you have any plans as to what you are going to write? *Chinhands*

Also, LOL, you're welcome. It's been kismet, really. ;)

Oh, and yeah, I keep thinking of sorting thru my icons and, most possibly, changing my default. *Pours one out*

I pondered mini_Wrimo, but the writing every day thing is probably super ambitious this year.

AHahah, we had no kids, so all the chocolate is mine. I feel James' pain. *g*

Challenges definitely help with writing motivation! I hope you have fun with whatever you decide to work on.

Intense mat work! Starting to sound like a martial art almost.

Lots of good luck with mini wrimo!!

Intense mat work sounds scary! Or possibly slightly naughty :-)
