We finally got to see Spider Man -- Into the Spider Verse and enjoyed it a lot. I really enjoyed the style and found the whole thing funny and engaging. Though did get distracted for ages trying to places the actor who provided Peter Parker's voice. I Googled it when the movie was finished and it was a big, of course moment.
Not that the film started well. The cinema was rammed and our screen was full of kids. Not that they caused any issues, though I do wish the mega Spider Man fanboy behind us would have used his indoor voice as he explained to his dad many details of the Spider verse throughout the movie. Plus, when we go to the cinema we always get a Costa coffee each and James gets a cup of ice and then I add pop we take in ourselves. We did that today, because it so busy it was minutes from the actual film starting, so poured the pop over the ice, and realised that the bottom of the cup had a crack and pop was flowing everywhere. My feet and trousers were soaked and the floor a slip hazard so I had to quickly go and ask for cloths to clean up the spill. The cinema guy kept asking if I wanted him to go get me another drink from Costa, but I said no. That would be a bit cheeky considering it was our pop that was spilt.
We're considering a double feature of Bumblebee and Mary Poppins tomorrow, but I suspect it'll be one or the other. Whatever one it is, I'll be checking the cup before any liquid is poured.

Date: 2018-12-30 07:56 pm (UTC)Oh, maybe I should watch the original Mary Poppins tomorrow. It's one of the few Disney movies I have on DVD. (I really need to get some of the old animated classics like Sleeping Beauty and Aristocats on DVD. I love them so much.) Whichever you end up watching I hope you'll enjoy it a lot!

Date: 2018-12-30 08:07 pm (UTC)That sounds like a good idea. I only have a handful of DVDs, but one of them is Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. I'd watch it but don't actually have a DVD player now.

Date: 2019-01-01 07:46 am (UTC)I can record on the Sky box, and have Netflix. Of course that does lead to issues where I could lose recordings, but I just find it easier to use those. I doubt I'll ever get rid of the DVDs I do have, though. Even if I can't play them *g*
