It turned out M3GAN wasn't that scary at all. Still not something I'd go see again but I didn't need to close my eyes at any time, so that was good.

Yesterday was the usual Sunday routine. Company first thing, pick up a couple of Olio requests, a stop at Costa, where I had to ask for a top-up of my coconut latte as the cup was nearly all foam.

I also got a Too Good to Go magic bag from Morrisons Cafe. It was the first time I'd ordered from there and it was well worth the money. It cost £2.99 and when I checked the bag it contained four packages of sandwiches, each one priced at £3, and six cakes.

We'd also nipped into Lidl because you can never get everything you need at Company, and James was delighted when they had the lathe he was after. I laughed at him so much because he was so excited about getting that lathe, it's something he's wanted for a while and he'd saved the money he got for his birthday and Christmas and yesterday they finally had what he wanted.

Though now he's got that I'm going to move all of Kayleigh's resin supplies to the desk in Corey's old bedroom as woodworking and resin don't mix. Kayleigh does incredible memorial jewellery but it's delicate work, and she really doesn't need wood dust mixed in with ashes.

Nanna's brother, who I call Uncle G, actually lives opposite to one of the Olio ladies I go to. James decided to call in on him as Uncle G has been doing woodwork for years so wanted to ask for some tips. He eventually came out with some books, some wood to practice on and a bit sad that Uncle G was looking frail. Which isn't surprising as he's 90, but he's been like nanna, extremely healthy even at such an old age. But it seems he's had flu and recently fell in a supermarket and is now feeling those 90 years for the first time.

And I'm sure you'll all be relieved to know the diverter is now working in the bathroom mixer tap. It was fixed with the tried and tested method of bashing it with a hammer and squirting in a load of WD40. That suggests the diverter was sticking due to limescale build-up. Or just sticking in general. Whatever it was, it's working now.

i saw m3gan this weekend too! i agree: i wouldn't see it again, it was kind of weirdly paced. but it was a fun "this is so goofy we can laugh" watch with my friend.

That was indeed a great haul for the price! I hope both the sandwiches and cakes were tasty.

A lathe, how very exciting ;-D

Poor Uncle G, first the flu and then a fall. That's enough to make even someone much younger feel frail and old. I hope he will feel better soon.

If you can't solve a problem with violence, try more violence, or possibly some lube :-)

I am DELIGHTED to hear about the diverter, excellent work.

That sounds like a brilliant magic bag. I always wonder about theirs - I've two morrrisons nearby both with cafes, although one of them gets very low ratings on the app!

That's an excellent bit of luck for James - I didn't think anyone did well out of those middle aisles, just got caught buying a 100 things they didn't need, so I'm pleased to hear of someone who did well!
