musiclver20 and may I just say how mean she is here ;)
1) What one fandom do you think everyone should at least read fic from?
See, mean! I love all my fandoms that I'm in, which are The Sentinel, Mutant X and popslash for anyone that lives under a rock *g* So it's really hard to pick one, however, if pushed I'd say Popslash. I know a lot of people won't read it because it's RPS and dismiss it out of hand and I'd never force anyone to read anything they're not comfortable with. But I think it's a shame if they don't read as popslash has some awesome writers. Yeah, it has it's share of Mary Sue teenie, I'm-a-dancer-called-Summer-and-I-got-a-job-dancing-with-nsync-and-justin-fell-in-love-with-me, writers but it has writers that can break your heart, make you laugh and are really just fantastic. Plus, there's so much canon you can draw on that makes the stories feel real. Don't get me wrong, I know it's not real but when they hug, kiss, touch and say they love one another it's easy to pretend.*
2) What's your favorite song right now, and why?
Right now it's Hold On by Good Charlotte, but that changes week to week. I love Hold On for it's message, that we all go through bad times and you just hold on and it'll get better. The video makes me cry but it's a song full of hope, and I love that.
3) Most prized possession?
A couple of years ago I went to a Trek con. Most of the Voyager cast were there and I'm a major Voyager fan. I bought a print that was signed by all the guests, it cost so much I'm ashamed to say just how much but it's precious to me. It reminds me of a fantastic con, wonderful guests and just having a ball all weekend.
4) How did you find/get into the *Nsync fandom?
I have to admit if you'd asked me this time last year I wouldn't have been able to tell you the name of anyone in *Nsync, I knew some of their songs but no details. But I'd been a fan of BSB for a long time. At the beginning of last year I started to look for BSB slash and found nothing good, then I tried a few months later and found a few good sites. This is making the actual process much shorter than it was as I worried for a while about admitting I liked rps. It's a hotspot to a lot of people and at one point I was going to make another LJ just for BSB stuff. In the end I didn't. I post everything under my real name, media and popslash. Anyway, one day I had the urge to write Kevin/Howie, so I did. Posted it at the BSB slash comm and you don't want to know how I felt, terrified didn't cover it. But a few kind people commented so I wrote another, Kevin/Nick. Around this time I discovered that good BSB slash is in short supply so I had to start reading crossovers. And that was the start of my descent into popslash addiction. I kept reading about this Chris Kirkpatrick guy, so I looked up his picture and within seconds was hit by this huge lust thing that keeps getting stronger every day, plus a huge amount of admiration and respect for everyone of them. It was insane, within a week my picture folder expanded by thousands of pics, I bought every CD and DVD I could get my hands on and I was gone.
Getting into the fandom itself was a little harder, not that people were unfriendly just I have this thing about friending people, so I found it hard to friend anyone at first. But one day I decided I had to stop being a wimp and just comment and friend already, so I did, slowly becoming part of the fandom. Not a huge part but a part I'm comfortable with, and now I couldn't imagine a life without BSB and nsync and all the wonderful popslash fans.
5) What is your favourite pairing to read or write?
I knew I'd get this! I don't really have a OTP, I'll read anything if it has Chris in it, but if pushed I'd say Trickyfish to read. The banter in that pairing can be fantastic and they go so well together. I haven't written much, only one Choey and Joey/JC for the SeSa and a few TrickC ficlets. I did enjoy doing them because JC is so different to Chris in some ways but in others, like strength of will and determination they can be so similar.
* I have to say here that I do know it is real. Reality, who needs it? ;)
I enjoyed that :)

Date: 2004-01-24 02:43 pm (UTC)LOL, you can tell you'd been listening to JC, you sexual side was coming out *eg*
I love the clips and just can't wait for the album. They boy's mad, totally unafraid to put what he likes in songs, for which I love him so much!
Okay, questions...
(1) Would you rather sleep with your favourite sdb once or have a tape of him sleeping with the other half of your OTP which you could keep?
(2) Which celeb would you like as a friend, but only friends, no touching, groping etc?
(3) Would you read a story if it's badly characterised but hit every one of your kinks hard?
(4) Have you ever felt ashamed about liking a tv show you loved?
(5) The situation is this. You work in a hotel and your favourite sdb has just checked out. You go to clean the room and they've left some things behind, clothes, a notepad etc. No one will know if you take them. Do you take them and if not why not?
*licks you and runs away*

Date: 2004-01-24 04:02 pm (UTC)(1) There's a copy of your OTP having sex, it's hot, steamy and real, not just a bad look-a-like. But they didn't know it was being filmed. No one would know if you watched it, would you?
(2) Would you read a badly characterised story if it hit all your kinks?
(3) What's your favourite Chris 'look'?
(4) Have you ever felt ashamed about liking boybands?
(5) Have you a favourite book?

Date: 2004-01-25 04:39 am (UTC)Okay, questions.
(1) Do you find it hard to be a BSB slasher when most of the fandom is nsync based?
(2) If you could live in another country which one would it be?
(3) Apart from Trickyfish what is your least favourite sdb pairing?
(4) Pictures have been taken of Nick. Intimate pictures. Nick is furious, and is in the press saying how disgusting loss of privacy is. You know where to get the pictures without anyone knowing. Would you?
(5) You have a choice between spending a night with all of bsb on a friends only basis or spending the night with your favourite sdb on a one to one intimate basis, which one would you chose?

Date: 2004-01-25 06:15 am (UTC)Oh, and I have been reading (and even reccing) Trickyfish SeSa stories. So it's not that I'm completely intolerant. I can read anything as long as it's well written and I manage not to picture Lance's face.

Date: 2004-01-25 06:22 am (UTC)I just have to laugh when you say things like this and I manage not to picture Lance's face. Poor Lance *g*
I just like teasing you a little ;)

Date: 2004-01-28 05:25 am (UTC)(1) Earlier you said Trickyfish was your OTP at the moment, why them? ( I had to answer it, so can you ;) )
(2) You can hire one of the sdbs for the night to sing you one song. Who would you pick and what would they sing?
(3) Do you have a favourite tv show?
(4) Would you rather get to know your favourite sdb on an intimate basis or the whole group on a friends only basis?
(5) Would you read a fic with bad characterisation if it hit all your kinks?
