turps: (Bren and you wonder)
Just after I posted last night I heard a noise, went upstairs and found Corey trying to clean the bathroom floor with toilet paper after he'd been sick all over it. Got him cleaned up and back in bed, cleaned the floor then crashed into bed myself. He's off school today which is hindering my plans of present wrapping but I'll cope.

I actually watched another MX ep after James went to work and before Corey woke up. It creeped me out too. Not sure about the title, I'm brain dead just now, but it's the one where they're at the psych hospital and there's cockroaches and a scary little kid. That little boy made me shudder, I hate ghosts and if I'd seen him I would have fainted on the spot. Interesting episode, though the situation with Jesse is driving me insane now. He's far too good a character to waste just running searches.

Just scanned my flist and see some more of my cards have arrived! I'm glad you all like them! I'll be commenting individually when I get some more caffeine in my body. I've just got the best card from [livejournal.com profile] augustuscaesar with koala bears on it and a lovely message that made me smile so much. Corey's just given it pride of place on the fireplace and now we're about to look koala's up online as he wants to know all about them. Thank you so much hon!

Now I'm going to read the flist properly then get that last scene of the SeSa done. If you hear a loud noise coming from the direction of England you'll know I've finished *g*

YAY! First draft of SeSa is done! Just over 9,000 words which should be okay I hope.

It's amazing what you can do on 6 cups of coffee and two bottles of pepsi max. Caffeine, oh how I love you!

And now it gets doled out to anyone who agreed to look it over, with the warning this is a very rough first draft. But still, first draft done!

And to celebrate I meme, which are under the cut )

someone's just took the tree from our garden. The Christmas tree that we picked out special and strung with lights. It was a 7 foot tree and they climbed over our 6 foot fence and just took it. I hate people. I know it's only a tree but to just take it. what kind of person would do that?

God I'm crying over a stupid tree here. Sorry.

Calmed down now so can post more rationally.

We've taken all the outside lights down, I'm not giving anyone the satisfaction of taking anything else from us. That may sound like an overreaction but the lights are still hanging from the roof and all the windows are lit up, from the inside obviously so the house still looks nice. Also, I'm never going to give anyone the chance to make my son look like he did tonight. Or make him stand in the freezing cold telling me he could see bike tracks and was going to follow him. Or ask if he could stand in my bedroom and watch for someone carrying our tree in the carpark opposite. Or make him jump at every noise. So, for his piece of mind they had to come down.

I haven't changed how I think about Christmas, I still love it and no one will take that from me, or the memory of how much fun we had choosing and decorating our tree. Memories like that can't be replaced, trees can.

Also, when it comes down to it it's just a tree. I still have presents under the inside one and no ones ever got into my home. There's people on my flist who would probably love to only have a stolen tree to worry about. Yes, I lost a tiny bit of faith in people today but it was only a tiny bit, they're getting no more.

This also showed me how bloody fantastic you people are. Reading all your comments helped so much, especially as James had went running to look for the thieves and left his mobile. I've no shame in admitting that some of them made me cry again, because damn, you all rock. The police have been informed, not that it'll do any good, but if an abandoned tree is found they'll know who's it is.

One funny thing. James was going house to house asking if anyone had seen anything, like I said I was fretting at home and the radio was on the local station. Then the DJ mentioned James' name and how some scum had stolen the tree. James had decided to tell as many people as possible so used the radio to try and shame someone. And they're going to run the story on their news tomorrow.

But yeah, I'm fine, everyone's fine, because no ones going to spoil the season for me. But I'll tell you something. I'm going to get some nailed boards and put them along our fence soon, anyone try to get on my property and they can rip themselves to bits in the process.
