turpsI swear I'm never going to let my friend near my computer again. Which is a way of saying Jill's just gone and we've had a wonderful time. She loves to check the dating sites and friendsreunited so we can sit and gossip about school. When I went to the site I had an e-mail from a girl that used to be one of my best friends. We went to hockey every week until we drifted apart when our lives went in different directions. But she sent a lovely mail showing she still remembers all my family and saying we should meet up. Which we might if I can get over this stupid fear of meeting people. While we were checking all the other people we knew Jill and I saw one guy had his e-mail addy on his info page. ( you have to pay to mail using the site ) so she persuaded me to mail him. This guy who won't have a clue who we are. He was one of the cool kids, Jill and I just weren't *g* The only thing I'm thankful for is I used my backup yahoo addy so he won't know my main one.
She also had a bit of a read of the story I was writing before she arrived and asked why I didn't try and get paid for writing. Which is becoming one of my most frustrating questions. Because I'm not good enough. It's that simple. Not that I really care about her asking as she's only got my best interests at heart. Sadly she also accidentally put the chair leg on my toes and sat on it, leading to one being skinned and hurting like crazy. But still, I had fun, helped by the fact that yesterday James found out the work situation isn't as bad as he was told. Which meant I could actually breath again after two days. Things aren't 100% but they're a hell of a lot better than they were.
So, like I said above I've actually got a start on my soap opera challenge. Strange thing is it's turned into a trickyfish, which it just isn't supposed to be. I said yesterday that I find it hard to write Lance, and I do, simply because I always think he has to be snarky and I can't do that. Thinking about the snark ties me up and he's more than that anyway. So yes, it's trickyfish and also a totally different story to what I planned. Which just shows that I don't know what the hell I'm doing really.
Now I have pictures to post. That is if I can. My connection's been spotty all day and I have no idea why.
