Mar. 28th, 2005 10:27 amWe were out again yesterday and the weather was bad so we spent most of the time in the car. Which meant I had a permanent crick in my back by the time we got back after sitting so long, but it was fun in its own way, especially when James got lost. We were heading to the lake district but ended almost at Blackpool which was 90 miles out of our way. But we turned around and eventually got where we were going, at which point it started to rain. However, that was okay as the MiL gave me this packamac thing which is basically a plastic sheet in a poncho shape with added arms and a hood. Stylish yeah? James said I looked like an over ready chicken in a plastic bag *g* So we were feeding the swans when it started to rain really heavy and I had to make a decision about getting soaked or looking like a chicken. I picked the chicken, I was working the plastic look I tell you! ;) I would share the pictures of me in my bag but sadly the camera battery ran out.
Today, I'm going nowhere and my plans are to get caught up on things online and in the house. How the place gets in such a mess when we left first thing in the morning and got back so late I don't know. Which reminds me. Last night we'd gone to bed and I was at that stage of dozing off when I heard these bangs, I didn't think much of it because Moffets loves to explore at night, then looked up and nearly had a heart attack when I saw two glowing eyes on top of the wardrobe. At which point Moffet decided to spring at the light shade in the middle of the room, why I have no idea but it's made of paper so she sprang, ripped a hole right down the side, pulled it off the ceiling and ran away yowling like crazy. The cat's nuts I swear.
Anyway, like I was saying. I have two stories that have been beta read sitting in my in box ready to be changed, and you know if I ever decided to do
sentinelsecrets again I really need to make sure the deadline isn't the same day as another challenge.I also have e mails and challenges to upload to Sentinel Thursday but that's fine as it's a horrible day meant for being inside.

I'm thinking that...
Date: 2005-03-28 02:04 pm (UTC)more men don't read slash because it's simply the wrong sex to turn them on. Just as I'm not interested in looking for Xena femmeslash. I mean, if a person is hardwired to like men, two men is twice as sexy. But if a person doesn't consider one naked man a fantasy turn-on, adding another to the mix won't change anything.
BTW - spelling is up to you but next time, if you want me to "fix" it (but it ain't broken), just let me know.
two stories that have been beta read sitting in my in box ready to be changed,
??? Wouldn't it be easier to just use the changed beta copy, un-change the edits you don't want to keep, and send THAT off? What am I missing - am I thinking about it too simple?

Date: 2005-03-28 02:15 pm (UTC)I think spelling is something I'll only change for something like this when you're trying to hide your identity. I really don't care what spelling I use and hope it's not a big deal for others, but for the sake of it being easier I tend to stick with what I use anyway.
You know, it probably would be easier. I've always just looked at the beta copy and changed things on the original file, which is probably making the job harder than it should be.
Btw, thank you!
I'm mailing you anyway, I wanted to get the story sent first when I had a free day, but it doesn't hurt to say it twice.
