Maybe I'm preparing myself for motherhood? I have done some out-of-character and maternal things lately, like watched adoption documentaries and applied for a job at an adoption agency....

I decided at age 15 to not have biological children, for physical/medical reasons. But every time I see this one-year-old girl with spina bifida I get these...urges. They're short-lived, though.
