Aug. 12th, 2006 11:20 amI woke with most terrible headache this morning, so dragged my sorry ass out of bed at 6am for painkillers. I blame the very vivid dream I was having. Your cousin getting married and you holding the wedding up for 6 hours because of a series of increasingly stupid events, not cool at all. Anyway, I'm good now and am going out with my boys later, until then though I'm going to have some serious computer time. Which means, a post of non importance. Starting with a meme gacked from
pierson
Now I'll admit this upfront. I suck at story titles. Which is why the wtf stuff is named after the prompts. It's just easier that way *g*
Easy Money -- This was a cheat as I did a meme where people suggested a title and pairing, and I suggested a story to go around that. The story I suggested stayed in my mind, and I ended up with Easy Money. Which remains a story that I love a lot.
Spot -- I stressed over this story so much and was on the verge of deleting it so many times. I can thank my beta goddess Interlock for talking me back from doing that. But again, a simple story, a simple name. Spot is Lance's dragon, and really, it's a story about Spot. Therefore, Spot.
A Lifetime of Firsts -- It's exactly what it says. A lifetime of firsts between Lance and Chris. Except in my story they're running backwards, so, last first. I don't know, man. It made sense at the time.
Wilt -- This was mostly based on the picture I was given, a wilting flower. But also, Joey's wilting too. He's had enough, and needs to get away, if only for a moment.
Moving Ever On -- Because that's exactly what Justin and Chris are doing. Their relationship is moving on, plus, it ties into the whole touring theme.
Phone Calls and a Finally -- Well see. Lance calls each one of his bandmates, trying to work out his thing with Chris. Then finally he does. I told you I suck at title names! And man, what was up with all the trickyfish I was writing in that time period? So much for it being a pairing I was afraid to write.
Thirty Kisses -- Again, exactly what it is. Thirty trickc kisses.
Feel -- This universe is all about atmosphere, emotions, the connection between all five men. They're feeling one another on an emotional and physical level.
Hazy Like a Summer Afternoon -- They're in a garden, in summer, in the afternoon. Can you see where I'm going yet? *g*
Travel On -- Justin and JC are on Justin's bus. They're travelling literally, but also in the way they react to one another, finding things out as the miles pass under their feet.
Living the Life That You Dreamed -- Because Justin is. He wanted this so badly, to get away from his old life. Now whether those dreams included getting involved with JC, I don't know *g*
Good Things Come to Those That Wait -- Something we all should believe. This was a title that was pretty easy to decide on. It's not clever in any way, just stating a fact. Something that Justin totally believed in. He knew if he waited he'd get Chris in the end, and he did.
Silver Pain -- This story does not exist. I have no idea what I was thinking.
Stranded -- They're stranded on a desert island. What do you want me to say? I fail at complex meaningful story titles.
Layers -- This is all about JC. More and more things are dumped on him during one day. Layers of things that piss him off, until finally he snaps. Then Chris pushes right through those layers, to get inside. Not in that way though, perverts.
Words -- It's a story about communication. Chris leaving notes for JC, them talking to each other on notepads. Nothing important, just words that show they care.
Measured in Beats -- I was experimenting with style on this one. Justin's world is brought down into beats when Chris is hurt. Time is immediate as he worries. Always counting, trying to push away deeper fears.
The Best Mirror is an Old Friend -- I always remember the horror I felt when I got this assignment. It was for Lydia, who's a friend, and she wanted firstly JuC, and a song that I'd never even heard of. I downloaded it, and even now when I play that song, I think of sitting writing JuC, hoping like hell she'd like it. This title is one I like a lot. Because Justin and JC are old friends, and their reactions to one another is like an mirror. Plus, it ties into the mirror sort of sex that happens later.
Musical Chairs -- GSF and yet not, as Chris goes around his bandmates. Chair to chair.
Coming Home -- You know how I've mentioned many times that my titles are simplistic? Well, here we go again. Joey finally gets Chris and it's like coming home.
Boxes -- My baby. I remember worrying about a title for this. It obviously comes from the boxes they sleep in, but also that they've boxed themselves in. Joey believing he's only a screw up, Chris that the only place for him is the streets, Lance that he has to run.
The Way Things Change -- It's a story about Joey, about how his thinking changes. Though really, after re reading it should be called, Terri's story to worship Chris' braces. And there's nothing wrong with that!
Snapshots -- My first real story writing Nsync. *pets the noob story* The story is scenes between Joey and JC's, then JC and Nick's relationship. Snapshots seemed to fit.
And that's it. Aren't you glad? *g*
I've been amusing myself with those motivational posters this morning.

Now though, I have stories to read.
ETA: Or do another meme.
1. What is your main cell phone ring-tone?
Nsync. Bye Bye Bye.
2. What is your default LJ icon?

3. What station is your car radio permanently tuned to?
It's not. There's 7 we scroll through and CDs are played a lot too.
4. What is your computer desktop image?

I've been tempted to change it at time, but can't. I love it so.
5. Is there something you wear every single day?
My rings and necklace.
6. I wish I had a tracking device on:
My phone. It keeps getting lost and I need to ring it to find it.
7. What page does your internet browser open with?
Google.
8. This item never leaves my purse:
I don't have a purse. At least, if a purse means handbag. I do have a messanger bag where my chapstick stays, pens, stuff like that. But all the other stuff gets removed. Keys, phone, purse, handheld, mp3 player.
9. What TV show do you never miss?
We have a series link to Australia's Next top model, Britain's next top model, Party of Five, The Hotel Inspector, Big Brother and A Town Called Eureka. Shut up! I download Project Runway and Psych. Plus I never miss Supernatural and House....come back soon!
10. What phrase do you hear yourself repeating too often?
I'm blanking on phrases, but there's always 'likes' and 'mans' used many times.

Date: 2006-08-12 10:39 pm (UTC)My initial plans for the dragon challenge were nothing like Spot. So, when I ended up with that it was so far removed from my plans I wasn't sure of its worth at all. I love it now, and am so glad A talked me round.

The meme was fun to write, so I'm happy you enjoyed. Sometimes it's fun to just sit and write something that doesn't mean that much.
