I threw an old fan out yesterday. Within minutes one of the people on our estate knocked on the door asking if she could have it. So I told her that it didn't work, that it didn't have a guard over the blades and the feet were wobbly. Really not safe at all. This morning I woke up, let the dog in the garden and discovered someone had been in the garden and took it. Which while I'm not mad that it's gone, I am sick of people coming into the garden and taking things. I mean, we didn't go to bed until one, were up at seven so they must have been sneaking around in the middle of the night. I just hope they don't mangle their fingers.

The two stories I'm working on? I'm about to chop a load of words from one of them. The story needs it though and once I've added the new stuff it'll be much stronger. But still....

I tell you, the adrenaline rush of working on fic that's due in the matter of days, you can't beat it.

I've fallen in love with Panic performing The Weight. So much love, seriously.

ETA: Downloads for the song plus Nine in the Afternoon and I Write Sins mp3s in comments.

And that's all I have.

At least it's getting used and not going into a landfill. Most stuff (old lamps) can be fixed and reused.
I use to put stuff out in cardboard boxes a few days before garbage day so that I'd feel better about not hauling it to the salvation army.

I wouldn't knock on someone's door if something was in the garbage, I'd just take it. Of course that's only if it was clearly garbage and out at the curb, not hanging out beside their house or in their garden.
