Waking up to Frank's tweet and something actually happening at MCR.com made me so happy this morning. Finally things are moving, and I can't wait! I want all the new music, footage and pictures in the world! Not of the babies, but of everything else, hell yeah! Sp tell me, what do you think it all means? A countdown to a song, the album drop, one channel for specific things that they'll reveal one by one? Come tell me your theories.
ETA:

There seems to be a theme of ray guns and maybe post apocalyptic worlds developing. I like it!
Corey and James have just gone off to do a bag pack with the Scouts. They were at a Scout meeting last night and last week we went out and bought the rest of Corey's uniform ready for him going back to school on Tuesday. We also bought a washer that's being delivered on Monday, so hopefully that delivery goes better than the last one. This summer seems to have flashed by so fast, but it's not over yet, and even when it is it means autumn is here, which is my favourite season of all.
Yesterday one of the tomatoes finally turned red. I'd like to say we did something special with it but in reality we picked it off the plants and ate it. It was delicious. I also spent a lot of time writing, but ended up jumping from one story to another meaning I got a lot of words down but not many in one specific place. Though I did move the Bob/Mikey story on a lot. Which is the story I wasn't expecting to touch when I started, but that's where I ended up.

Date: 2010-09-04 04:55 pm (UTC)It shouldn't matter but no doubt it will. I do feel sorry for them in that they have to know that the announcing of a new drummer is a huge deal and they're never going to be able to keep everyone happy. The fuss when it was suggested that James was going to be made an official member of the group shows the fans can be very vocal when they want. But, I also think they've missed the best time to actually announce the change. To me the timing should have been to introduce the new drummer then start the build up to new music. I just have to hope they know what they're doing.

I want it to be some lesser known from Jersey, and old friend or something, rather than someone from another well-known band, if that makes any sense. I think that could be too polarizing if it comes with too much in the way of previous work/expectations. Which may well be why they're waiting to announce it, too.
I also don't want to get too excited, because as fun as the summer of 2007 is, I don't know that I can handle the violent excitement and mood swings of that with this band again. I'm standing far more on the edges this time around, you know?

As much as I love rpf fandom it can be a rocky ride at times and I've learned that there has to be some distance from the bands that you enjoy. That's a lesson I learned from Nsync and their never ending hiatus.
