I mean, what? Werewolves. Also, why cut the interview off there HCT people? I want to know why Frank thinks it's like being a werewolf. I mean, surely vampires would fit better with the awake at night thing, but, I guess werewolves would be the pack mentality. Are you telling us you sleep in a huge puppy pile, Frank? Do you go around scent marking things?

But what I love most is how Mikey gets instantly engaged in the conversation. He's like, la, la, la, usual Mikey face, WEREWOLVES! \o/ something that needs a face to face look at Frank to discuss, and no doubt something they've discussed many times before. Then they cut us off. Bastards.

So come talk to me about werewolves. Is Ray the alpha, does he get to carry Frank around by the scruff of the neck? Do the Way bros do lots of grooming of each other? Was Pedicone aware he was joining a group of werewolves? So many questions.

Also, I'm really enjoying Ask Kobra Kid on tumblr. Some of his replies have made me laugh a lot.

I'm horribly behind in my own writing, but I still intend to catch up, probably when James goes back to work because he's off at the moment. Which brings me to twitter suggesting that I follow Corey's twitter. That is not going to happen, no way, no how. I don't care how often twitter suggests it, and maybe we do like the same music and bands, I'm still not following him, because he might follow me back, and no way do I want my kid reading me speculate about the practicalities of facials in the desert.

I think that's all. Depending on the outcome of something this morning, we've planned to go to the cinema and watch a few films this afternoon, but I just remembered it's Orange Wednesday again. Hopefully it won't be so busy. We'll see.

I am all for more bandom werewolves! Keep encouraging this, guys! I love werewolf fic and I am enjoying the lj thread with poor Way grooming efforts and Frank being all ruffled puppy wolf! I'm going for Gerard as the unlikely alpha with Ray as his second, going all protective over Mikey and Frank, staring suspiciously at newcomers. And Frank says he totally doesn't need protection! He is a badass wolf, okay!

I cussed at my phone's screen when the video cut off. Frank and Mikeyway TOTES went off some UP WITH WEREWOLVES tangent that some lame person cut off. Because OF COURSE THEY'VE TALKED ABOUT THIS again and again. Yep. I remain irritated at the HCT video people who didn't let us see that amazing conversation, as I'm sure it would have been epic. Also, maybe we would have got to see who Frank and Mikey think of as alpha. Though saying that, the chance of Mikey not saying Gerard is non-existent.

OK, now my mind went somewhere where Frank and co are constantly rubbing themselves on possessions and/or people (but they do it discreetly and NOT in a non-con way) when they need to reiterate what is Pack and what isn't.

And yet that makes sense! Frank up on the drum riser is him marking his territory. All the same clothes wearing is because they smell of pack which is reassuring when you're facing thousands of non-pack.

You know, it's a good thing that they're in a band (vs., I dunno, them working at an architectural firm.) Because they can use "touring" as an excuse to go several days without showering (therefore enhancing their scents.)

Also, I see Pedicone as a human--though one who's been around a few werewolves since childhood. Which explains why he doesn't freak out when the band comes out to him (before he signs the contract for the tour.) He's OK with it (often smelling of Frank, his non-mate and bff, the most.) Every so often, though, he does have a mild freak out when he wakes up some nights surrounded by HUGE GREY WOLVES.

Oh, and, in their wolf form, Frank's a total puppy, the Way bros like to howl in harmony and Ray? He's the SCARIEST WOLF EVER as well as the BEST HUNTER IN THE PACK. The theory goes thatRay channels all of his aggression when transformed.

Clearly I have no imagination - when I watched it I figured he said werewolves because of the waking up with no idea where you are part. I prefer your suggestions! Also, Ray as alpha makes me think of my favourite My Chem clip, from the Helena shoot, where Frank keeps trying to climb into the coffin and Ray keeps hauling him back out again. A good thought to start the day with :)

I might be the only person in fandom who thinks Gerard would be the alpha. They do follow him around. Whatever crazy idea he has they are on board with it - or so it seems to the outside world, so I am going with that. I get why people think Gerard isn't a dominant guy (he totally looks faily and nerdy sometimes), but he can make people do stuff. He is a leader, I have no doubt about that.
I think Frank would do the grooming. Try his best to make them presentable and Ray, well Ray would try to make them stay in the freaking woods and have always a change a clothes hidden away. (it was hard to see his bandmates naked every freaking month - and then Mikey mastered the change whenever he wanted too - but it got better. still, Ray is not the type to walk around naked often).
They totally sleep in a pile. Totally - and they never made fun of Panic for that.
As for Pedicone; he would yield to Gerard because Gerard is charming and even if Pedicone would be an alpha, Gerard has a pack to back him up. The only thing for Pedicone is to yield and deal.

I think the Ways would groom each other often, and by the time they're finished they've got some of their fur so wet with saliva that it's stuck down in clumps and other parts are sticking up wildly, but they don't care. Just curl in together and sleep.

Oh, if Pedicone is also an alpha he could growl too. Him and Ray could circle each other, lips curled, because even though they've known Pedicone for a long time now he's part of their inner circle.

Really, it's an excuse for more Ray growling.

and frank always complains because they smell like wet dog. he doesn't want in on their grooming because he actually wants to look nice afterwards, not like a ruffled puppy. he looks like a ruffled puppy all the time anyway, but nobody wants to tell him that.

pedicone is trying hard but he just can't not be an alpha. so ray and him have to work it out somehow. it unsettles frank and the ways.

You know, I could easily be swayed toward Gerard being the alpha, for exactly the reasons you say. He may not have the bulk or physical presence but it's not always about that. It's having that special thing that makes people watch him and follow his lead, and he certainly has that.

Yes yes. Frank would be excellent at grooming, very meticulous and probably trying new things always -- who knew he could give Mikey a faux hawk along his spine using saliva alone.

Poor Ray the prudish werewolf. I can just imagine him changing back and standing with his hand over his dick and ushering the others toward their change of clothes.

I keep thinking about it and flailing a little. Ray's lip curling with that first warning growl, and then an outright warning growl as he shows his dominance.

Frank the ruffled puppy werewolf. He would be adorable, and I bet he likes to nip tails and run away, doing that wolfy snigger as he does so. The Ways remain oblivious, just stay curled up, Mikey's head on Gerard's neck, their paws together.

Can they work it out so it ends with an epic battle with hissing and snarling and biting and changing back mid-fight, them showing how much control they have and Ray's holding Pedicone down and they have hot, bruising sex that ends with Ray as the ultimate alpha.

yes frank would be the playful one of the group. he'd be prancing around all the time and trying to get people to play with him. gerard would growl a little because he's tired and hide his head in mikey's neck.

omg yes! frank and the ways would help lick their wounds after and then they'd be one happy puppy pile. until frank starts annoying people again because he wants to play and ray sends pedicone after him to tire him out.

YES! Licking of the wounds is a good thing, as would sleeping together in a big pile, with Pedicone in the middle to show that just because he's not alpha it doesn't mean he's not important.

Yes! It's exactly that: you see him and think: him, doesn't look like the most together guy, but dude has a point and before you know it you are so on team Gerard.
You know he would - and Mikey would pretend that he doesn't like it, but duh...he's not kidding Gerard.
Well, Ray is the only one who was raised right. He's just not that kind of werewolf. And Frank would so do stuff naked just for shit and giggles \o/. He has no problem with being naked at all.
I know right. Someone should get on that. The thing is in the beginning Pedicone has not a clue why he even wants to do things for Gerard or follow his lead or whatever and it's disturbing that Gerard (glittery stage queen that he is) can so casually order him around. And Frank is giving him looks, like he knows something Pedicone doesn't (he grins a lot, too). And he doesn't even think about that one time he found them on the floor tangled and sleeping and it made something in his guts curl.
