I'm having a lot of fun with the alphabet meme. I was at a loose end writing wise so having the chance to play around with ficlets and different pairings is an excellent way to spend time. As of now I've done 6 but I will get them all done, even if some people are really mean in what they ask for. Seriously, like, omg, you want me to write, what?! mean.

As a heads up, there's one letter left. Feel free to claim even if you've already asked. Gone.

For the last three days I've been downloading the tv series Misfits of Science. I loved that show when I was a kidlet and in a fit of nostalgia went to see if it was available to download. It was, but had so few seeds that it took forever to actually complete. Last night it did and is now sitting on my desktop ready to be watched. Yet somehow I can't bring myself to click play. What if it's terrible and I lose my fond memories of Johnny B charging himself up on electricity pylons while singing, or of him walking near the ocean and a boogie boarder splashing him so he gets hurt and Courtney Cox is all concerned.

This is a very valid concern! I may have to go watch Criminal Minds instead.

ETA: It is pure cheesy goodness! GLEE!

It's awesome! The special effects are terrible and the actual plot so cheesy. I love it!

And now I'm writing Pete/Mikey. Today is a Planet Awesome day!

Hee! Sometimes you just want some cheesy goodness.

Yep, and this is extra cheesy.

I did see! I'm hoping for a Mikey Way after dark submission *g*

Edit: why does the world not bow to my whims and write what I want to read? That is so unfair.

It is totally unfair. I read through the Dotcomrefresh entries this morning because there were a lot of MCR fics, and they were all Gerard/Frank (except there was one Bob/Ronon, which also not interested in)!

Why do they torment us this way?

I read a DR Mikey/Bob AU earlier Rearranging Faces (http://toucanpie.livejournal.com/659.html) which I enjoyed.

But I want someone to write a Mikey epic. Mikey/Frank, Mikey/Pete, Mikey/Bob, I don't care, just gimme!

And it has to be a *good* epic. Not a bad, multi-chapter WIP where Mikey is abused and anorexic epic. (I'm sure you would enjoy that otherwise, but sometimes you want the good stuff).

I would kill for that.

WIth awesome characterizations of Mikey and Frank or Pete (I'm not that into Bob) where they are boys, but stupidly in love.

Dude, that fic was *awesome*. And also one of the more plausible Mikey/Bob set-ups I've seen.

Why aren't more people working the costumed hero angle in the DR 'verse? I mean, I get why there's been such an influx of smut, particularly bondage-flavored smut. But I feel like the superhero connection is pretty obvious...

Isn't it cool? I enjoyed it a lot.

Me too! [Um...obviously. ;P]

I support this idea! Someone should do a superheroes meme.

As there's also slim pickings in the superhero smut department, and nothing brings the smut like commnet memes.

YES PLEASE.

I admit that I'm hoping BBB will bring some shiny DR fic. Not that I'm hearing rumors that that's the case, but hey, a girl has to dream.

Yeah, I'd really like to know what it is about this meme that's bringing out the weird pairings. But it's inspirational! [I'm writing cheerleader fic. I can honestly say I never thought that would happen. You will most likely be getting TS and PW ficlets, just so you know.]

And thank you again for my ficlet. :)

Ahahaha! Misfits of Science! I haven't thought about that show in *years*. My family was very into that kind of show. [Still is, if we're being honest.] Did you ever see Manimal? That one left a lasting impression on my psyche.

Oh, cheerleaders. Who for? Please tell me it's Way cheerleading because that would be awesome!

You're very welcome. I was just saying elsewhere that's one of my favourites of the ones I've done so far. It's just a pity it couldn't really go anywhere.

Dude. Manimal! Yes, I watched that. My goodness, the memories!

Cheerleaders for my sister - so no Way cheerleading. Though, I'm now thinking of what the MCR cheering squad would look like. There's the handy Brian-as-mascot in INOK 'verse for 'plausibility'. Frank would be *lethal* as a cheerleader...

Oh man.
I hate you.
*facepalms*

I suppose it *could* go places [I would like to know where everyone else is...I think.], but it's not likely to end in puppies and sunshine. Regardless, it's an excellent snapshot, harsh in its details. *loves*

*grins* I was glad to find the wikipedia entry - for a while I'd thought that I'd imagined that show. I mean, it seems like something I'd make up...

It would be most excellent. Imagine Mikey the apathetic cheerleader.

*listless shake of the pom poms* :| *listless shake of the pom poms*

Bob would make an excellent base and Ray a reliable spotter. Imagine his thighs in the spanky pants? *drools*

Gee would... well he'd do his best and then probably patrol the side lines earnestly explaining why violence isn't a good idea.

Mikey the apathetic cheerleader is deeply hilarious. The :| face will *always* crack me up.

[Despite his general listless displays of spirit, Mikey is a definite asset to the squad for his networking skills.]

OMG, Terri. WOW.

There has to be a failboat romance between Brian and Gee. *nods*

Ha. Yes. Mikey's school spirit tends toward zero but no way would they get him to leave the squad. If they did that they'd lose sponsorship, half their audience and the amazing parties he organises after each game.

OMG, Terri. WOW.

Ray's thighs, are in fact, what brings in the other half of the audience. Each time he bends of flexes there's a collective sigh from the stands.

There has to be a failboat romance between Brian and Gee. *nods*

Yes! Brian dancing in his costume trying to attract Gee's attention, and Gerard thinks he's making fun because Gerard just collapsed the pyramid, again. So he kicks Brian in the furry shin and Brian doesn't know what he's done and is all dejected as he walks off the field.

Misfits of Science? I loved that show! It kills me that there are no DVDs out (I'm terrible downloading seris, I never manage to find the torrents). And yes, it was so cheesy, but it was fun! I can't remember all their names, but I do remember I loved the guy who could shrink if you touched his neck, and the singer.

But then, I have a soft spot for superpowered singers.
