I fail so hard at going anonymous. It's a good thing I've no plans in the troll career /o\

I was sent an invitation to Archive of Our Own so have been trying that out today because it seems like a very shiny thing. I do have a personal website but the thing is I'm lazy and I often leave it and have to update multiple stories at once. The archive makes things much simpler so hopefully I'll keep on top of things. I have all of one story up right now, and my account is here. Of course I had angst about my user name, should I be turps33? turps? Was terri available? And that's not even talking about the tags.

My eye is twitching today. I'm hoping that means it's on the way to being fully fixed. Everything else is pretty much okay but I still can't shut my right eye tightly, or wink without screwing up my face.

And now I'm going to do what I was supposed to be doing today.

It is. It does shut now but not tightly, which I guess makes sense because the muscles on the side of my face are still weak. It means I blink at different rates *g*

I have no idea whether I want to join AO3 or not, isn't that sad? I think I've felt very disconnected from my writing lately and feel blah about having my own account there... even though I do have stories that I could upload. I mean, having them all (well, I'd do a selection but, yeah) in one place could be pretty sweet. I don't know *pout*

I wasn't sure at first either, but getting an invite I went to nose around and they've made things so simple. I mean, I love having my own site but the fact is, it takes effort to keep it up to date and often I fail at that. With this I can just upload pretty much the same way I do to LJ.

I doubt I'll be putting up all my stuff, not unless people want a good laugh, but the bandom and popslash, sure.

It would be fantastic to see all of your stories together. I get that you're not in a writing phase at the moment, but that could change and then you'd have your shiny off-lj site.

I have two stories done too! And then when I went to upload the h/c I found I haven't tagged it at all, or listed it. It was nearly lost forever!

Hey, re AO3, I had planned to import Instamatic Flu as one individual work, with the cover art in it (pretty much as it shows up in the LJ post) and your AO3 pseud listed as co-author. I never even try to bother to do anonymous comments. It's far too complicated and I'm philosphicaly against anonymity anyway so I always comment as myself :-)

Everyone is getting an AOO account! I must remember to add links to my delicious recs in a week or so when people have finished uploading their stories.

Oh man, I got myself in such a flap with the anon comments. I posted the first part fine, then the second one and forgot to go anon, so I hit back and it didn't go to the right place and then I couldn't find the prompt and I know it didn't really matter but what if I'd posted something I needed to be anonymous for?! Like the dolphin prompt.

I was very surprised to get an invite, but I like that the archive is so easy to search, and so easy to upload to.

I didn't know that AOO was finally up and running. Nifty. I do like having my own webspace (so I can delete is ALL at my whim, bwahahahahaaaaa {cackle}), but maybe I should put my old Blakes fic up there. I don't think it's even online any more, because I took it down from one archive in anticipation of moving it to another and then never did. Still, no one has ever asked me where it is, so clearly the demand isn't high.

It does seem to be a very cool thing and I like that you can upload any kind of story. When I remember back in the day, when I had to changed website hosts because the one I was on wouldn't accept rps, well things have changed so much.

You should put your old fic up, then if some day in the future someone does ask you can just whip out the link.
