Following a link I've been reading this blog about someone's experiment to be a 50's housewife for a fortnight. I'm only a few days in and know that it's good that I wasn't a housewife in the 50's, because I would have ended up punching someone in the face. Getting prettied up before you even make coffee in the morning. What is this madness?

A few days ago our kettle stopped working. After terrible moments contemplating a life without tea, coffee and hot chocolate, we bought a new one. The old one was still under warranty, and this morning it was picked up by a courier. It was wrapped in bin bags tapped down with medical tape and a cable tie. The label was stuck on with more medical tape and made out of an old scrap of cardboard. We are the classiest ever.

lumikki_fee posted pictures of Mikey from a concert here. I can't seem to stop looking at the one from the after show signing, also, reading concert reports, this picture here. Look at that profile and smile ♥

Staying on the subject of Mikey, I'm pleased to see that the threesome with Pete and Gabe has been agreed, but mostly what I've been thinking about is how he tends to take pictures of things, like the signs for My Chem dressing rooms. I like to think he takes pictures like that all the time. The first concert when they came back, hiding side stage and taking a picture of the crowd. The empty box that used to contain the dye Gerard used on his hair, and maybe the dark strands lying on the floor from when it was cut. Two baby wrist bands on Frank's open hand, So many memories captured in picture form.

I think I've mentioned that crowgirl13 provides an informal, friendly place to chat about creative stuff done in November, and yesterday she did a comment fic free for all which resulted in some great stuff. My own contribution was a scrap of Ray centric gsf but there was also so incredible other stuff. Frank centric, Mikey centric, Mikey/Pete, Ray centric as well as responses away from MCR. I do recommend you go read, because T has some insanely talented people on her flist.

And now I'm going to make tea, because we've been out and now I'm hungry.

I would make a horrible 50s housewife too. She linked to some guide from that time that said husbands should also pitch in by hanging up their coats and maybe doing the dishes every now and then. Poor dears, their lives must have been so hard.

YEAH. Husband is pretty lucky if I make sure there is a clean cereal bowl before I go to bed. Get up and make him breakfast? lolololol.

Well, I do have to make breakfast for others, but it doesn't mean I enjoy doing so. And it's never anything more complicated than throwing toast or crumpets into the toaster *g*

Whoa, that blog is insane! And even more insane is apparently the grief she's taking from "feminist" blogs for doing the experiment. Seriously! People should be taught about sarcasm and irony and nuance ... Then again, this is the internet, I don't even know why I'm surprised! *sigh*

Yeah. I wish I could be surprised at the grief she's getting. I was boggling at the things she was supposed to do but it never crossed my mind to take it too seriously. Simply because she wasn't either.

Damn, you know what I miss? Those huge-ass AUs which would have Anyone Pete Wentz Has Ever Met in them. Like, a bandom story with a full cast and 8 side-stories and 12 pairings *g* It could totally be about body-swap! lol

The threesome makes so much sense, and also makes me happy to think about, because talk about three people who are so similar in many ways but couldn't be more different in others.

I'd like to think there'll be teasing going on, with Pete and Gabe saying how their bands are only small fry compared to rock star Way. And they could ask for his autograph and pretend to be groupies and generally amuse themselves with that until Mikey shuts them up by walking away to the bedroom and saying he's off to have sex now, with or without them.

Considering the twit pics Mikey has shared I do suspect he takes many more, and of a more personal nature. I think he should make his own scrap book, but with a Way slant. Hand-drawn comic strips on the pages next to the photos, coffee stains and tiny hand prints next to those of a cat.

I loved your post so much! And I still have things to read. I like that so many different kinds of fic were posted, though I have to admit. A certain response nearly killed me ded this morning *g*

We already have Gabe -- Mikey, and now have Gerard - Vicky T. Which wow, I like the cesty issues that would happen there. Also, for some reason, am picturing Mikey thinking he's about to have het sex with Gerard/Vicky, and then 'Vicky T' comes out complete with a strap on, and 'Gabe' would be all, really? You still want to top?

We need a really unlikely swap. Frank -- Ryan maybe? Then Ryan can writhe on the floor during a TYV show.

Well there's Vicky - Gerard but remember the time we thought Gerard was taking his marketing cues from/bodyswapping with Pete? Maybe Gerard has been cursed/drugged/whatever and is actually body-hopping his way through the whole of bandom, back into his own body. And on the way, making out with / fixing the body owner's realtionships with his band/lover etc? And MCR would get someone else in Gerard's body every day and try to guess who it was *g*

It would be just like in that show, with all the parallel universes! It was called Sliders in France? And each time he'd hope he'd go back to the right body but realize it was yet another dysfunctional bandom-member. *sigh* Poor Gerard!! (Meanwhile, his band is working their own magic on whoever is inhabiting Gerard's body that day/week, and maybe Frank starts really really missing real!Gerard. I'm sorry, is my OTP showing? *g*)

Gerard!Brendon would suddenly go back to the studio and scrap the whole album with speeches about taking risks and being an artist, and start from scratch again, much at Spencer's surprise-but-secret-relief. Actually, you know what, that's *exactly* what's happened and that's why the Panic album is taking so long to get to us!! They did say the demos they put out right after the split would not be on the album! Ugh, and Gerard would NOT be down with New Perspective lol
