Following a link I've been reading this blog about someone's experiment to be a 50's housewife for a fortnight. I'm only a few days in and know that it's good that I wasn't a housewife in the 50's, because I would have ended up punching someone in the face. Getting prettied up before you even make coffee in the morning. What is this madness?

A few days ago our kettle stopped working. After terrible moments contemplating a life without tea, coffee and hot chocolate, we bought a new one. The old one was still under warranty, and this morning it was picked up by a courier. It was wrapped in bin bags tapped down with medical tape and a cable tie. The label was stuck on with more medical tape and made out of an old scrap of cardboard. We are the classiest ever.

lumikki_fee posted pictures of Mikey from a concert here. I can't seem to stop looking at the one from the after show signing, also, reading concert reports, this picture here. Look at that profile and smile ♥

Staying on the subject of Mikey, I'm pleased to see that the threesome with Pete and Gabe has been agreed, but mostly what I've been thinking about is how he tends to take pictures of things, like the signs for My Chem dressing rooms. I like to think he takes pictures like that all the time. The first concert when they came back, hiding side stage and taking a picture of the crowd. The empty box that used to contain the dye Gerard used on his hair, and maybe the dark strands lying on the floor from when it was cut. Two baby wrist bands on Frank's open hand, So many memories captured in picture form.

I think I've mentioned that crowgirl13 provides an informal, friendly place to chat about creative stuff done in November, and yesterday she did a comment fic free for all which resulted in some great stuff. My own contribution was a scrap of Ray centric gsf but there was also so incredible other stuff. Frank centric, Mikey centric, Mikey/Pete, Ray centric as well as responses away from MCR. I do recommend you go read, because T has some insanely talented people on her flist.

And now I'm going to make tea, because we've been out and now I'm hungry.

Yeah. I wish I could be surprised at the grief she's getting. I was boggling at the things she was supposed to do but it never crossed my mind to take it too seriously. Simply because she wasn't either.

We already have Gabe -- Mikey, and now have Gerard - Vicky T. Which wow, I like the cesty issues that would happen there. Also, for some reason, am picturing Mikey thinking he's about to have het sex with Gerard/Vicky, and then 'Vicky T' comes out complete with a strap on, and 'Gabe' would be all, really? You still want to top?

We need a really unlikely swap. Frank -- Ryan maybe? Then Ryan can writhe on the floor during a TYV show.

Well there's Vicky - Gerard but remember the time we thought Gerard was taking his marketing cues from/bodyswapping with Pete? Maybe Gerard has been cursed/drugged/whatever and is actually body-hopping his way through the whole of bandom, back into his own body. And on the way, making out with / fixing the body owner's realtionships with his band/lover etc? And MCR would get someone else in Gerard's body every day and try to guess who it was *g*

Gerard!Brendon would suddenly go back to the studio and scrap the whole album with speeches about taking risks and being an artist, and start from scratch again, much at Spencer's surprise-but-secret-relief. Actually, you know what, that's *exactly* what's happened and that's why the Panic album is taking so long to get to us!! They did say the demos they put out right after the split would not be on the album! Ugh, and Gerard would NOT be down with New Perspective lol

DUDE! You've placed Gerard in the Panic sitch PERFECTLY - everything there makes sense. And this also explains why so many people in bandom are dragging their heels about album releases. Gerard is out there ~~fixing things. This explains some of Patrick's deal, definitely Pete's... not sure about The Damned Things. Oooo. I love this game!

Oh, that's right- we're relatively new friends. I am into bandom pretty much across the board. My Chem is my favorite, and Bob is my favorite favorite, but I kind of love it all.

Taking care of Brendon would probably involve a lot of Guitar Hero with Ray and non-conversations with Mikey and listening to Frank's Skeleton bands with him and talking about dogs. Just taking comfort in being with a band, you know? Since his own kind of imploded :(

Ahahahahaha! Oh Gee. Yup, I can totally see it.But I'd bet that all the bands - or at least the individuals that he's swapped with - don't see things in precisely the same way. I imagine that there's lots of merry havoc created along with all the fixing. But how does that pan out and what happens? OOOOO! Here's a way to get your OTP into the mix. Maybe Gerard's general Frank obliviousness is what set the whole thing off/made him the perfect person to go on the Great Bandom Body Swap adventure?

And MCR just lost/are in the process of losing their drummer, too, so they're all "you've got to appreciate what you've got", and Brendon goes back to Spencer and just hugs him for a while and gives him the most heartfelt "Thank you for being here" and Spencer just raises an eyebrow and goes "Uh, of course, dude" and they both pretend they're not tearing up a little and go surfing.

What? This is already the Crackiest of things - why not throw a Rom-com trope in for good measure? [I am also having Wizard of Oz flashbacks - "There's no place like him... HOME."]

Actually the 'you've got to appreciate what you've got is a good underlying theme for ALL of this. I think that fixing things and resetting/readjusting is a good enough reason. But this IS bandom, so there's should be ridic fail too. I like the idea of Frank getting sent out too - the pair of them careening through friends and acquaintances, trying to figure out what's going on and how to fix *themselves*.

Awwww, that is the cutest thing ever. They start leaving messages for each other! Little notes and sketches, and then hugs and like, chaste kisses. Like in that movie, Knight's Tale! Frank will wake up in X's body and band member Y will come up to him and go "Er, Gerard was just here? He kinda ... left this for you?" and smack him on the lips real quick before wiping their mouth with the back of their hand. *g*

As for the triggering factor ... I'm going to go with freak electrical storm. Or the good old bump at the back of the head? I guess we can't blame Pete Wentz for everything and make him the inventor of a fancy maching that was supposed to be a time-travel device but totally got out of hand? lol

Hahaha, Frank-as-Ryan is the most hilarious thing I've thought of lately! He'd be calling Mikey and complaining about feeling nakes without his tattoos, and he'd hear his own voice in the background yelling "NO OTHER TATTOOS, I'M NOT FUCKING KIDDING" and he couldn't even release all his frustration through his playing!

Possibly TYV gave him a stern talking-to before the shows, all "okay, you're already not wearing anything Ryan would wear" (aka no paisley, vests or hats) "so NO FUCKING UP THE SET WITH CRAZY ANTICS and NO SCREAMING!" *g*

And the stages they're playing are kinda small, anyway ... Frank learns the lesson the time he gets surprisingly amped during Change and jumps into the crowd and they just ... take a step back and don't even catch him. Damn hipsters!
